EMBA RANEPA/Kingston group visited the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation!
During the November modules of the Russian-language EMBA program, 1st and 2nd year students visited the National Management Center at the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, located on Frunze Embankment. The prospect of being on an excursion inside such a secret building seemed an absolute fantasy.
A large number of finalists and winners of the contest “Leaders of Russia” are studying at the programs of the Kingston/RANEPA business school and such excursion, as expected, aroused a great interest. How is the army of Russia changing? Effective organization by the example of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The new look of the Russian army? Modern technology in the service of the Russian armed forces - we were formulating our questions.
The Ministry of Defense has changed a lot in recent years: the construction of a huge atrium, which stretches along the central part of the building, completed in a record 333 days, there are helipads in the building, films were shot here - some of the premises of the Ministry of Defense appear in Fyodor Bondarchuk’s film “Attraction”.
The tour exceeded our expectations! Only here you really feel the size of the country and the scale of the tasks being solved. An ultramodern organization in where work amazing people, serious and responsible, with a great sense of humor. To our surprise, we found that some officers have the MBA degrees!
Review from Oleg Surnachev, Development Director, AK BARS Bank, 1st year student, EMBA RANEPA/Kingston
“One of the highlights of the second module of the EMBA program is, of course, a visit to the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation. We were able to see from the inside how everything is arranged, to learn about the modern capabilities of the Russian army, to communicate with the military, ensuring the sovereign status of our Motherland, who turned out to be very hospitable hosts, who showed, within the framework of the permitted, of course, internal structure of the National Center.
For me, the Ministry of Defense has always been associated with secrecy, so what I saw made an indelible impression on me. The main aftertaste of the tour is emotions that are still fresh, a feeling of strength, power, invincibility, as well as great pride in our homeland.
I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who was involved in organizing this excursion, it was really unforgettable."
