Creativity is vital for every part of the economy. The ability to generate a diverse set of business options through new ideas is a central feature of innovation in all firms and, as such, is central to sustained economic growth. Design, as a structured creative process, is an important competitive tool for firms in many sectors, although design activities can take many forms across those different sectors.
Creative thought is a very emotional process less rational. Every product we touch in the world has thousands of hour design input so it is an important aspect of business success.
The workshop is designed to integrate the business idea once defined and then help create it's uniqueness using design solutions to impact on the customer. The participants are to develop a visual brief to inspire all creative output using imagery that enables good visual solutions for advertising, design, brand narrative product design etc. Design thinking can be one of the tools applied in the creative process.
As companies extend their global reach, managers must stretch their abilities to communicate and collaborate across borders. Both the stakes and the failure rate are high: research shows that over 40 percent of executives who were previously successful in their home countries have trouble adapting in unfamiliar cultural settings. The basic difficulty lies in a lack of mental agility.
Key focus:
A key aspect of a behavioural economic paradigm is that there are limitations in defining the consumer as an informed rational processing machine. Human motivation and behaviour can be viewed as more likely to be influenced by biases, perceptions and general rules of thumbs (heuristics). Building from the premise that consumers operate and move within spheres of a ‘bounded rationality’ this workshop explores how behavioural economics can be utilised within the design of marketing campaigns.

Neuroscience is an exciting and emerging area, which seeks to understand the most complex organ in the body – the brain. Neuroscience draws together knowledge and expertise from many areas of science, from molecular biology to the psychological study of the mind. In the course you will explore how the latest neuroscience concepts and techniques can help you motivate and inspire your peers and employees, catalyze innovation, and increase business success. Applied Neuroscience is your opportunity to learn concepts and hands-on techniques derived from the latest cognitive research and psychology to improve individual, team and organizational performance.
